About Us

Milford Football Club was established in 2012 and formed by Dr Xanti BS Pupuma in honour of his father, Mr Mpumzi Milford Pupuma. Milford FC - “The Stallions” have their roots firmly planted in Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa.

Mission: To develop world-class talent, deliver outstanding performances, and build a strong, passionate community in Richards Bay and surrounding areas. We are committed to promoting sportsmanship, fostering youth development and creating a winning legacy that reflects our core values of respect, teamwork, and perseverance.

The team’s training facility is Umhlathuze Sports Complex in Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal. Milford FC started their career in the SAFA ABC Motsepe League in 2012 and continue to grow and develop their players, leading the team to be in the top 3 in the 2022/2023 season.

Milford FC entered professional football scene at the start of the 2023/24 season, playing in the National First Division (NFD), Motsepe Foundation Championship after purchasing the status of Uthongathi FC. Entering a new league with new expectations and challenges, Milford FC finished 13th, which is acceptable for any young team. Milford FC also qualified for the Nedbank Cup and was eliminated in the last 16 of the Nedbank Cup.

Milford FC has about 2000 registered supporters in their database and these numbers are increasing with the continued support from the region. The team hopes with the construction of Richards Bay Stadium will boost supporters and home games will move to Richards Bay.
